Model 4630 Super Silver Weibull USA Continuous Centrifugal operating on the thin-layer principle and incorporating the latest technology consisting of the following major components:
Sugar Housing -45" (1143mm) high, 80" (2032mm) diameter, carbon steel walls and top, Included are a stainless steel sugar housing wash ring, inspection doors and sugar sampler. Housing painted inside and out with high quality two part epoxy paint.
Compact Spindle Assembly -High strength heat treated alloy steel shaft, conservatively rated standard bearings (spherical roller at top and double row ball at bottom) and positive oil seals.
Silvortex Heater -Double walled stainless steel tube mounted in centrifugal top to provide steam for additional heating of massecuite as it drops into massecuite conditioner.
Massecuite Conditioner (Accelerator Bell Assembly) Stainless-Steel. Intimately mixes and conditions the massecuite for easy purging and then properly distributes the conditioned massecuite into the bottom of the basket assembly.
Basket Assembly -30° slope, 46" (1168mm) nominal upper diameter. Special stainless steel cone with holes midway up basket wall for first drainage and slots at the top for final drainage. A prepurge section is furnished in the screen clamp bowl to provide efficient and early elimination of molasses. The basket assembly is dynamically balanced with back-up and working screens installed.
Back-up Screen -Stainless steel, woven screen with flattened top, easily replaceable but very strong, installed in the basket.
Main Working Screen -One set of main working screens, installed in the basket. Tools for installing screen included with first machine per factory.
Molasses Compartment -Stainless steel fabrication. Supported on the base by rubber vibration mounts. Seals at the top of the molasses compartment insure a close fitting labyrinth with the basket shrouds to eliminate any molasses carryover into the sugar compartment.
Drive Unit -Sheaves, powerband V-belt and motor to provide a maximum basket speed of 2020 rpm. The basic motor is a foot mounted 1800 (nominal) rpm, totally enclosed, fan cooled, 365T frame, 1.15 service factor at 40° C ambient temperature, NEMA design B, Class F insulation for 460 volts, 3 phase, 60 hertz service with windings for Star/Delta starting.
Main Control Cabinet -For 460 volt, 3 phase, 60 Hertz power supply. Includes main disconnect, circuit breaker, star-delta starters, over-current protection, control transformer and interlocking devices wired and mounted in a gasketed water-tight metal cabinet. Also contains the main motor and lubrication pump motor start/stop pushbuttons and ammeter for indicating main motor load. Special circuit for running overload is provided to protect the motor from long-term buildup heat. A programmable logic controller is provided as a necessary part of the star-delta motor starting system and also includes counting function for time in service and number of start-ups.
Lubrication System -Continuous oil flow system, includes pump, totally enclosed non-ventilated electric motor (1/4 HP, 110 VAC, single phase, 60/50 Hertz), flow sight gauge, oil flow switch and reservoir. Oil flow switch is interlocked with main motor controls to prevent centrifugal operation without oil flow, switch overheated oil or with low viscosity oil. System prepiped and installed under the machine. Wiring is provided to a point near the main motor for easy connection.
Massecuite Feed Valve, Manual -Manually operated 8" Butterfly valve. Massecuite flow into machine is adjusted by hand to suit conditions.
Massecuite Feed Nozzle -Fabricated of stainless steel and installed between the massecuite feed valve and the Silvortex heater to provide a seal which prevents any ambient air from entering the centrifugal, includes windows to observe massecuite flow.
Process Wash system -stainless steel lances to selectively wash the sugar as it is purged while passing up the screen in a thin layer. Includes manual valves, hose and clamps, water flowmeter, pressure gauges, water-steam injectors, water strainers and check valves for control of steam and water. Steam/water manifolds are provided to facilitate piping.
Dial Thermometer -For indicating temperature of massecuite in the feed line.
Standard Machine Washdown System (Manual) -Includes manually operated valves, hose and clamps to supply hot water to clean the basket, rnassecuite conditioner, molasses housing and sugar compartment.
Special Note: All critically stressed parts in contact with massecuite or molasses are made with a special alloy stainless steel which is resistant to chloride stress corrosion.
Approximate shipping weight: 7800 lb (3538 kg) each
Approximate shipping volume: 339 cubic feet (9.60 cu.M.)each
OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT: (See quotation for items included.)
Automatic Massecuite Feed Control System -Butterfly Valve automatically controls the flow of massecuite into the centrifugal to maintain a constant load on the motor. Electric and electronic systems are wired up and mounted in the control cabinet. Feed system includes 8" Butterfly valve with electro-pneumatic positioner (in place of manual valve in basic supply) and a Microprocessor-based, Digital Read-out Controller (in place of ammeter). System provides automatic shutoff of massecuite in event of power failure or other malfunction which causes machine shut-down. Controller can communicate with a host computer.
Valve can be opened and closed from the control panel and when used with the automatic massecuite valve control option will close automatically if the load exceeds the set point by approximately 10 percent (programmable). Interlocked with main motor and sugar scroll (optional) to shut off massecuite flow in event of either main motor or sugar scroll stoppage.
Automatic Machine and Feed Pipe Washdown System -Consists of necessary solenoid valves and controls pre-wired and mounted in the control cabinet to provide for automatic machine washdown upon timed cycle, shut down or whenever "Cleaning" pushbutton is depressed. Timing functions by the Programmable Logic Controller for setting the feed wash and machine wash duration. Feed valve (and Knife Gate Valve, when ordered) automatically operates during wash cycle in the proper sequence. Automatic machine washdown system can only be installed if automatic massecuite feed control system has been selected.
Mixing Feature with stainless steel and metallized parts in sugar housing to collecting sugar and add syrup or water Seed and magma is formed which flows from two outlets (180 degrees apart) on the sides of the machine ready to be pumped to next process. Inclined chutes in the sugar housing are steep enough to flow 93/94 brix magma. Includes nozzle, valve and manual flow meter with switch which shuts off massecuite feed if mixing medium flow should cease. Automatic Controls for applying mixing liquid can be supplied.
Mixing Feature Without Collection Trough -Same as above except there is no magma collection trough. The magma leaves sarne as sugar normally does from the centrifugal bottom to be collected and transported by a screw conveyor.
Melting Feature witn stainless steel parts in sugar huosing to collect sugar, add melting liquid and steam heat so a syrup is formed which flows from two outlets (180 degrees apart )on the sides of the machine ready to be pumped to the next process. Automatic Controls for applying melting liquid be supplied.
Drive Motor, 100 HP -The centrifugal as designed is sturdy enough to accept a 100 HP motor in place of the standard 75 HP motor.
Stainless Steel Housing- Provides for the sugar housing being supplied with solid stainless steel top and stainless steel lined vertical wall.
Syrup Separator -A vertically, adjustable cylindrical wall is installed within the molasses compartment which allows separation of the molasses discharged at the prepurge area only, or plus that at the first, second, third and fourth rows of holes from that above separation point. Two outlets are provided.
Other voltages and frequencies can be accommodated but may involve additional cost
